Car Rental in Spain
Renting a car in Spain can be a cheap and easy way to discover interesting places and to get outside the main tourist areas or the big cities.
In the mayor towns the traffic can be very slow and finding a parking space can sometimes be difficult and we can therefore recommend to park the car and use public transportation.
The Spanish drivers in major cities have a reputation of being a bit impatient and therefore do not be surprised if there is a lot of honking of the horns when traffic starts to slow down.
As soon as you get outside the big cities the Spanish road net is of a good standard and the traffic is normally not to bad, which makes renting a car a good and cheap alternative to buses, trains or flights.
If you rent a car through any of the major Spanish or international companies (see below) you will normally have free miles and a full insurance coverage. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative some companies offer the possibility of only covering third part insurance and you will in this case have to pay up to 200-300Eur for damages made on the rented car.
