International Schools in Spain

International schools in Spain are concentrated mostly in areas with large foreign populations, such as Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante, Valencia and the Costa del Sol. Typically, the student body at an international school consists of both Spaniards and foreign students from diverse backgrounds.

International schools in Spain provide students with a bilingual education that prepares them for further education or employment abroad (required aspects of the Spanish educational system usually form part of the curriculum). As an example, an international British school in Spain will usually educate students according to the British and Spanish National Curricula, as well as prepare them for IGCSE and Advanced level (A level) examinations.

A further benefit of international schools in Spain is the multicultural environment they provide, which is considered to be a healthy, stimulating and enlightening factor in the development of a child, especially in today’s globalized world.
